Abstract

The dentistry Brazilian scientific production has gained notoriety in recent years with the increase in scientific channels prestigious by the academic community. Given this scenario, this research aimed to analyze the scientific production in the field of dentistry of authors of Brazilian affiliation with data collected from two main multidisciplinary databases in the scientific world, the Web of Science and Scopus, in the period from 2010 to 2020, aided by the Bibliometrix tool. Thus, it was possible to carry out several bibliometric analyzes, such as the authors and journals that published the most in the area, their h and g indexes and the collaborations between countries and institutions. It was observed in this study: the predominance of publications with multiple authorship; the greater number of publications in open access Brazilian journals; the United States as the country that most collaborated with research in the area; and the prominence of the three state universities in São Paulo in terms of number of publications.
