The technological forecasting as a tool for strategic planning for building the future of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute

This paper presents the purpose of a prospective study as an essential tool for the Strategic Planning, in order to subsidize the decision making process and the formulation of institutional policies that enable Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC) to reach its future vision. The applied methodology covered the literature review in order to build the theoretical reference, the comparative analysis of three prospective studies (realized) carried out in the country and one by a similar foreign institution, and also the identification of instruments and tools used in these studies. The result was the purpose of a prospective study divided into three phases: initial, consisting of data collection, treatment and systematization; Primary, consisting of data analysis and interpretation (of information) and knowledge production; and Commitment, consisting of results dissemination, which will enable IOC to reach the excellence (y) described in its future vision.Downloads
