The high lethality of Ebola virus is for a time known. The epidemics of the disease caused by this virus in African countries reflect periodic tragedies. Others outbreaks occurred and even though they had been reported by the media, they were soon forgotten by itself, although the virus has continued active. The manifestation of Ebola today expresses an impact that is presented by the media as a threat to humanity. This contributes to spread apprehensions and other fears on the society. The experts in the field of public health should develop information estimating to the society the risk and possibilities of control of the virus, especially through the resources provided by scientific research, biosafety and also by the global articulation of health policies.
