SiCKO is a Michael Moore’s documentary that criticizes the United States health system and shows how political bargaining and lobbying from health insurers and pharmaceutical companies created a system that treats health as a commodity, martyring lives to earns profits. The comparison with other countries that have adopted socialized medicine, highlights an alternative health care proposal, that understands it as a citizen’s right, jointly funded by society and guaranteed by effective public policies and practices.Downloads
