Daughter of professors and researchers, Carina Luisa Ochi Flexor grew up surrounded by questions and books. As a child, she had fun playing house with books. In an interview with RECIIS, the professor and researcher talks about her research trajectory focused on the book as an object and reading practices in the context of digital culture, as well as the experience of the reader of both printed and digital books, when a new reading pact is established: “the digital book also reads us”. Flexor talks about the emergence of transmedia literacy as a strategy to educate “for, with and through” the media in the face of misinformation in the digital environment, particularly related to health. Flexor calls for thinking about ways of learning for young people in the age of digital culture and declares that “we are read” daily when we use foreign platforms. Carina Luisa Ochi Flexor is a professor and researcher at the School of Communication of the University of Brasília.
